Shawn Harvey & B-57 is a project of international singer/songwriter Shawn Harvey.
Since being formed in late 2007, the band has played around the UK, Benelux and Germany to enthralled audiences of all ages at venues ranging from street festivals to the famous Dublin Castle and Troubadour in London and the Last Waterhole in Amsterdam. In August 2010, the band is recording an album with Boz Boorer (Morrissey) at his studio in Portugal. The release is planned towards the end of this year.

Shawn works with several session musicians. Live, the band's line-up varies from a basic trio to a full 5-piece band, depending on venue size and demand. The repertoire includes hits from the 50's, 60s and 70's as well as original material, and covers various styles from Americana to Classic Rock, Country and Blues.

Shawn Harvey & B-57 ist ein Projekt des internationalen Sängers/Songwriters Shawn Harvey.
Seit ihrer Gründung Ende 2007 hat die Band in UK, Benelux und Deutschland zu begeistertem Publikum und auf den verschiedensten Veranstaltungen, von Strassenfesten bis hin zum berühmten Dublin Castle und Troubadour in London und dem Last Waterhole in Amsterdam, gespielt. Shawn arbeitet mit verschiedenen Session-Musikern. Bei Live-Auftritten spielt die Band entweder als Trio oder mit bis zu 5 Mitgliedern, je nach Größe der Veranstaltung und Nachfrage. Shawn Harvey (Vocals, Guitar) is an established UK singer, songwriter, guitarist, multi-instrumentalist and producer. He has a large international fan base and is well respected amongst other musicians world wide. For over a decade he has written and recorded Pop, Rock and Blues. He has worked with well known artists such as Albert Lee and Boz Boorer.

Shawn was born in Plymouth, England, and grew up in a small tin-mining town in rural Cornwall to the sounds of the 70's, a love which shines through in his music to this day. He started playing guitar and writing songs at the age of 13.

Shawn has developed his own distinctive style, taking bits from his early influences and adding a dose of his own personality. The result is fresh and original sounding Pop and Rock music. His live performances are electric and show his musical talent as a singer and guitarist. Years of working on the road from as early as 14 have made him a true pro. Shawn Harvey (Gesang, Gitarre) ist ein etablierter Sänger, Songwriter, Gitarrist, Multi-Instrumentalist und Produzent. Er hat eine große internationale Fangemeinde und wird weltweit von vielen Musikern respektiert. Für mehr als ein Jahrzehnt hat er schon Pop-, Rock- und Blues-Musik geschrieben und aufgenommen. Er hat mit bekannten Künstlern so wie Albert Lee und Boz Boorer zusammengearbeitet.

Shawn ist in Plymouth, England, geboren, und wuchs in in einer kleinen Bergbaustadt im ländlichen Cornwall zu den Klängen der 70er Jahre auf, eine Liebe, die man bis zum heutigen Tag in seiner Musik erkennt. Er fing im Alter von 13 Jahren an, Gitarre zu lernen und Lieder zu schreiben.

Shawn hat seinen eigenen, markanten Stil entwickelt. Er nimmt ein Wenig von seinen frühen Einflüssen und fügt diesen eine Prise seiner eigenen Persönlichkeit hinzu. Das Ergebnis ist frisch- und originalklingende Pop- und Rock-Musik. Seine Liveauftritte sind elektrisch und zeigen sein musikalisches Talent als Sänger und Gitarrist. Jahrelanges Touring, schon seit dem Alter von 14 Jahren, haben ihn einen echten Profi gemacht. Man muß Ihn live sehen, wenn er in seinem Element ist.

Silke Harvey (Bass Guitar, Backing Vocals), born in Neuss, Germany, is a bass player, music manager and record label owner. She has worked in the music industry since her early 20’s in various forms; live and backing musician, manager, producer, engineer, PR. She is also a freelance photographer, video producer, website and digital designer. She has worked predominantly in the Rockabilly, Country and Blues scene and has been bass player for Shawn Harvey for many years, taking part in nearly all his projects.

Silke Harvey (Bass Gitarre, Backing Vocals), geboren in Neuss, Deutschland, ist eine Bassistin, Musikmanagerin und Plattenlabelbesitzerin. Sie hat in der Musikindustrie in verschiedenen Formen seit ihren frühen 20ern gearbeitet; Live- und Backingmusikerin, Managerin, Produzentin, Tontechnikerin, PR. Sie ist auch eine freiberufliche Fotografin, Videoproduzentin, Website- und Digitaldesignerin. Sie hat vorwiegend in der Rockabilly-, Country- und Bluesszene gearbeitet, und ist seit vielen Jahren Bassistin für Shawn Harvey. Sie ist an fast allen seiner Projekte beteiligt.


René Voss (Drums), born in Aachen, Germany, is a drummer since age 13. When his school introduced compulsory music lessons he chose to learn the drums simply to cause his parents the maximum amount of distress and he’s been happily bashing it out at high volume ever since. Playing his way through several bands and projects over the years he is now the backbeat of the B-57’s.

René Voss (Schlagzeug), geboren in Aachen, Deutschland, ist seit seinem 13. Lebensjahr Schlagzeuger. Als seine Schule verpflichtenden Musikunterricht einführte, suchte er sich das Schlagzeug aus, nur um seinen Eltern maximales Elend zu bereiten, und seitdem hat er lustig mit voller Power weitergeballert. Über die Jahre hat er in verschiedenen Bands und Projekten mitgespielt, und ist nun der Backbeat der B-57’s.


John Joe Gaskin (UK Drummer) is the B-57's drummer for the UK. He is a brilliant and versatile musician with several years experience as a professional session guy, playing and recording with many popular bands. It's always great to have him on board!

Erwin Vomberg (Lead Guitar 1, Slide), born in Mönchengladbach, Germany, is a professional lead guitarist and music teacher. He learnt to play at an early age, taking from many of the guitar Greats of the 60’s and 70’s, and ending up with a mean Rock guitar style of his own. He occasionally sessions for the B-57’s as stand in lead guitar or as second lead and slide player.

Erwin Vomberg (Lead Gitarre 1, Slide), geboren in Mönchengladbach, Deutschland, ist ein Profi Gitarrist und Musiklehrer. Er hat in einem frühen Alter angefangen, Gitarre zu lernen, hat sich an den Gitarrenmeistern der 60er und 70er Jahren orientiert, und so seinen eigenen, gemeinen Rockstil entwickelt. Er spielt ab und zu Sessions für die B-57’s als Leadgitarrist, oder als zweite Leadgitarre/Slide.

Frank Arras (Lead Guitar 2) is a guitarist from Lier, Belgium. He has shared the stage with many well known names and has played in bands since he was 19. He now is a music teacher and runs his own Guitar Blast workshop with over 80 students. He plays session for the B-57's and rocks the stage with his cutting lead guitar.

Frank Arras (Lead Gitarre 2) ist ein Gitarrist aus Lier, Belgien. Er hat schon mit vielen bekannten Namen auf der Bühne gestanden und hat seit seinem 19. Lebensjahr in seinen eigenen Bands gespielt. Jetzt ist er ein Musiklehrer und organisiert seinen eigenen Guitar Blast Workshop mit über 80 Schülern. Er spielt Session für die B-57's und rockt die Bühne mit seiner scharfen Leadgitarre.

Rory Patrick Campbell (Keyboard), born and bred in London is a professional session keyboard player in the styles of Funk, Blues, Boogie, Rock, Reggae and Ska. He lives in Amsterdam and runs regular open mic nights at The Waterhole, near Leidse Plein, where he and the B-57's met at one of his jam nights. He sessions for them on occasions.
